Sephora’s Jane Nugent a Standout at May 17 Toronto Summit

Jane Nugent, VP of Merchandising at Sephora, brought her beauty industry and contemporary marketing expertise to the “Who is the 14-Year-Old Consumer?” Panel at this year’s most recent Corporate State: Toronto Summit, held on May 17 at MaRS Discovery District.

In a stellar day of debate and discussion, Jane’s equally stellar retail savvy about new buying trends and in-store engagement were a critical element in the 14-Year-Old Consumer panel, as it took a deep dive into a demographic that is upending traditional buying notions and consumer influence. These post-millennials, who have named themselves “The Founders,” have no memory of a world without Snapchat or Instagram, and over 53% of them would rather lose their sense of taste than their Smart Phone.
Wow. Think about that for a minute.
These Founders are most noticeably diverse pragmatists who believe the future is about inventive business-building, privatization, and philanthropy.
