Unpredictable Voice Joins Toronto 2017 Summit

In a break with Summit tradition, Jared Colautti, Founder of  the Toronto-based specialty clothier Run the Crown, will join The Corporate State: Toronto Summit’s “Cultural Sexism” panel as the first cis man to serve as a panelist for a Corporate State Summit. This dynamic panel, which will also include two transgender speakers, will explore how advertising, retail, fashion, internet/television programming and workplace rules are shifting to accommodate the awareness and acceptance of gender fluidity.

Run the Crown is the first and only company in Canada making custom made masculine clothing for queer women and trans men. With a firm belief that clothing is power, Run the Crown creates a safe space where the gender non-binary can get clothing that expresses their true self.

Before his career in fashion, Jared spent 10+ years in marketing and advertising, building major campaigns for Visa Canada, RBC, Air Miles, and Rogers. His colleagues always told him he was the best dressed guy in the office. He graduated with honors from University of Toronto with a dual degree in Political Science and Environmental Management, an obvious first step for a career in advertising and fashion.
