We’re delighted to get to know Grace Figueredo, who joined Aetna in 2012 as Vice President, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer. And in 2014, her role was expanded to include VP, Workplace Culture.

In this capacity she is accountable for shaping workplace culture to align with the company’s transformation efforts, as Aetna’s operating model shifts to meet the business demands of the future. Grace is also responsible for leading Aetna’s global Diversity & Inclusion strategy, and ensuring this work is connected to the company’s values, brand, culture, business strategy and growth objectives. She takes the lead in the development and execution of cutting-edge strategies that position Aetna’s workplace culture and diversity & inclusion initiatives as a competitive advantage from a talent perspective, to drive innovation, growth and marketplace value.

Grace is not only doing great things inside of Aetna, but in the larger community as well…

She is key to Aetna’s sponsorship of the first “Know Your Value” conference at the Hartford Marriott Downtown on May 16 from 11 – 4 PM. MSNBC’s Morning Joe Co-Anchor Mika Brzezinski and CBS This Morning‘s Co-Anchor Gayle King will be the featured speakers. The conference will explore how women at all stages of their careers overcome roadblocks to get their worth at work and create the lives they want along the way.

Grace has been recognized as one of Hispanic Business Journal’s Top 100 Executives and by Black Enterprise Magazine as one of the Top 100 Chief Diversity Officers. She was also recognized with a Visionary Award by Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hartford, Connecticut and inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders in New York City.
