Linda Zukauckas, EVP and Corporate Controller for American Express Company, is someone you’re going to hear more about. This month she will be a distinguished recipient of Legal Momentum‘s Aiming High Award.  The nation’s oldest legal defense and education fund dedicated to advancing the rights of all women and girls, Legal Momentum’s honor is given annually to accomplished women whose personal leadership has broken new ground in business.

Linda is a seasoned leamex logoader with extensive financial services industry experience. She joined American Express in her current role in November 2011, where she leads the Global Controllership team, composed of over 750 employees in nearly 40 countries.
She has responsibility for controllership functions across the Company, including all accounting and financial reporting, financial controls, and technical accounting advisory. Linda is a member of American Express’s Global Management Team and sits on several committees, including the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, Credit Reserve Committee, Disclosure Committee and Basel Implementation Committee. She is also the Executive Sponsor for the Company’s New York Executive Women’s Interest Network.

Prior to joining American Express, Linda held various senior leadership roles at Ally Financial (formerly GMAC Inc), most recently as Managing Director – Corporate Strategy at Ally Financial, where she had responsibility for bank strategy matters, including M&A. Prior to joining GMAC, Linda held senior audit roles at Deutsche Bank / Bankers Trust, including Chief Auditor of the Global Investment Bank, and Director of Audit in the Asia region, during which time she was based in Singapore. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Linda is actively involved in Financial Executives International, where she serves on the Committee on Corporate Reporting and is the Vice President of FEI’s New York City chapter. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Linda earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) degree from Texas Tech University.
