All lights on Deanna Fidler – she has stepped into her starring role at Aetna headquarters  in Hartford, Connecticut!  She was recently named Senior Vice President, Human Resources (HR) for Aetna, and in this role she is a member of Aetna’s highest level management team, reporting to Chairman, CEO and President Mark Bertolini.

Bedlam Productions is proud to spotlight Deanna because she leads a field of new thinkers in the HR world in terms of policies, benefits, and changing cultures to be more collaborative. We’re so excited by the work she’s doing and believe she’s an inspiration to the many talented HR professionals who are making their mark – and a difference – in the corporate world. Aetna consistently makes the “Best Places to Work” lists of major publications and diversity groups.

Deanna brings over 20 years of Human Resources leadership experience to her position, holding responsibility for the development of HR strategies and the delivery of HR services and programs for Aetna.  Her sweet spots of expertise include the areas of strategic client consulting, enterprise workforce planning and development, talent acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, and organization design

One particular area of responsibility that really resonates for Ms. Fidler is her work as the Executive Sponsor for Aetna’s Women’s Employee Resource Group, where she has the opportunity to truly develop and provide leadership opportunities for Aetna’s impressive group of women employees with innovative programming and exposure to dynamic leadership training.

Not one to ever sit on the sidelines, Deanna, is also a member of the Senior Human Resources Management Association and Succession Planning Advisory Board for The Conference Board; she served as the 2010 Co-Chair of the Go Red for Women Campaign for the American Heart Association; and in addition, continued to serve as the Co-Chair of the Circle of Red for Go Red for the Women Campaign for the American Heart Association in Greater Hartford Connecticut from 2011 – 2013.
