Susan Wortzman

The Corporate State: Toronto welcomes Susan Worztman, Co-Founder of Wortzman Nickle, on October 23rd as a summit sponsor and panelist on the “Organic Executive” Roundtable.

Susan leads a team of lawyers and forensic engineers in a very specific niche industry that has emerged from the internet era: legal and technical advice relating to e-discovery. Corporations and law firms turn to Wortzman Nickle as the industry leader, and Susan’s practice is quickly expanding.

Wortzman Nickle just launched a new Information Governance division. From record creation to disposal, and for all of the discovery phases in between, Wortzman’s firm advises its clients across the continuum of business information. This new division provides critical legal and technical advice on how to best manage their records to both maximize business efficiencies and minimize legal cost and risk. With its impressive experience with litigation, regulatory investigations and audits, Wortzman Nickle ensures a pragmatic approach.

Prior to founding Wortzman Nickle, Susan was a partner in one of Canada’s leading litigation firms and focused on a broad spectrum of complex commercial litigation. She lectures frequently on e-discovery topics, and has written several seminal papers concerning e-discovery and its impact on litigation in Canada. Susan is a member of the Advocates’ Society and is the past Chair of the Sedona Canada Working Group which has developed national guidelines for e-discovery in Canada.
